HAIR CONDITIONER: HOW, WHY AND WHEN

February 28, 2017

Soft, shiny hair that seems to move effortlessly looks so easy, doesn’t it? But in reality, it can feel like you need to wrangle the sun, moon and stars into alignment to get a good hair day. Between hard water, pollution, over-processing, chemically-laden products and nutritional challenges, hair can often bear the not-so-pretty brunt of daily stresses. And when it does, these stresses can show up as dull, frizzy, limp or coarse hair—the exact opposite of the look you’re trying to achieve.

No need to give up on your hair goals, though! Just rinse and repeat (after us): a luxury shampoo and conditioner can keep your hair from turning into straw. Reclaim your mane by incorporating Cuvée’s luxury hair products into your beauty arsenal. By using our top shampoo to cleanse hair and nourish it from the scalp down to the ends, you’re prepping hair for its crucial next step toward that next-level look.

Now that your hair is clean (but never stripped), it’s time to seal the deal…literally. Cuvée’s conditioner, infused with skincare ingredients in the Cuvée Complex, seals and smoothes hair with Champagne, white truffle, platinum and other botanicals for softness and weightless shine. Conditioning hair is a non-negotiable for healthy hair because our formula repairs, restores and protects hair from heat damage. The moisturizing formula also adds just the right amount of volume, so hair never looks weighed down. Problem solved, right?

After rinsing hair of shampoo, gently squeeze excess water from hair. Apply conditioner from mid-length to the ends, working through to ensure even distribution. Remember that the longer conditioner sits on wet hair, the more effective it is, so make sure you leave it on for at least 3-5 minutes. Long hair? We like to clip it atop our heads as we finish our shower routine, and make rinsing hair the final step. Turn water to cool (or at least tepid!) to help seal the hair shaft—this will help hair look smoother and shinier—and rinse well, massaging your scalp to increase blood flow and hair health.

Effortless!
