Cuvée girls often use a few words when they describe our line’s signature fragrance. “Fresh.” “Delicious.” “Just enough.”
When our founder, Rachel Katzman, set out to create Cuvée’s signature scent, she wanted a fragrance that smells like champagne. But what does that really smell like?
On her quest to pin it down, Rachel went to the experts at Robertet, the French fragrance house and flavor lab behind luxury scents for Chloé and Bottega Veneta.
Sitting among professional “noses” in lab coats and staring down walls of Robertet’s famous fragrances, Rachel tested vial after vial of scents. She’d take samples home, sit with them for a week, and try more and more over a period of months.
Then she found love at first scent. A champagne-and-fig fragrance that wasn’t overwhelming, wasn’t overtly feminine, wasn’t too much of anything.
As she put it: “I knew it was the one. I wore it like perfume.”
We’ve been hearing from more girls who can’t get enough of Cuvée’s scent, so if you’re loving it…you’re in luck.
Stay tuned: Pretty soon you won’t have to use your hair products to get the good stuff!
