Post-workout hair…it can be a problem. And if you worked up the energy for cardio, you shouldn’t have to spend tons of time getting your locks back in shape.
Try these tips the next time you hit the gym before work, brunch or a special date. Because great hair is the perfect complement to a post-workout glow.
1. Apply dry shampoo before your workout. Prepping hair before you exercise can help absorb trace sweat and keep your style looking fresher. Don’t even try it on wet hair after a workout. Sweat + dry shampoo = cake-y residue.
2. Take your pick: ponytail or bun. If you’re having a great hair day before your workout, go for a low, loose ponytail so you can take it out after. Otherwise, try a high, tight bun, pulling out some baby hairs up front so it’s not too perfect.
3. Always pack balm in your gym bag. Workouts cause frizz and flyaways, but a little Cuvée Styling Balm will keep your post-gym hair looking sleek. Run a dime-sized amount from roots to ends, then pull back with an elastic. If you’re working out with your special someone like our founder Rachel does, run any extra product through your honey’s hair and share the styling love. Got any post-gym hair questions?
