3 WAYS TO WEAR THE WET HAIR LOOK

August 20, 2018
A slicked, just-come-from-a-pool-plunge style has a high-fashion feel that takes its cue from the runways. But, in the heat of summer, the look is equal parts form andfunction: it’s as easy to create as if you in fact took a dip and went out the door—and, basically frizz-proofs your hair. Here, we’ve deconstructed three ways to wear a wet hair look and how to get each one using a few key products so you can look and feel chic all season long.
      Slicked-back style

The most fashion-forward wet style, this can read as severe as you want it to depending on how slickly combed your hair is. In the palm of your hand, mix Cuvée Styling Balm, a lightweight formula that will keep the style in place, with Cuvée Essential Booster for added shine. Apply it from the roots to the tips of your hair using your fingers to push it back away from your face. For a more high-fashion vibe, run a fine-tooth comb from your hairline down to the ends.

      Side-parted tousle

A side part elevates a wet tousle into summer’s most sophisticated beachy style in a way that’s still relaxed and wearable for day or night. On wet hair, cocktail Cuvée Styling Balm with a few drops of Cuvée Essential Booster and apply it to your roots. Create a deep side part using a fine-tooth comb, encouraging volume in the front by lifting pieces by the hairline and slicking back the side closest to the part behind the ear. Spray Cuvée Protective Treatment along the length, which will protect it from heat styling. Rough dry your hair using your fingers to get more texture. Finish by spraying a generous amount of Cuvée Protective Treatment from roots to ends, which provides a soft hold and shields strands from UV rays. Scrunch the length of your hair to add more undone waves.

      High-class ponytail

Adding sleek structure to a ponytail instantly gives it a grownup upgrade and keeps flyaways at bay on humid days. On dry hair, apply Cuvée Premiere Treatmentwith a few drops of Cuvée Essential Booster to the roots and crown to give it a healthy shine. Comb hair up into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic. Wrap a small section of hair from the ponytail around the elastic to conceal it and secure with bobby pins underneath. Finish by spraying the ponytail with Cuvée Protective Treatment to protect against frizz.
